November Is Coming NC Summer 2010
November Is Coming NC is an event in Asheville geared at training North Carolinians in investigative journalism and grassroots activism. As the event is the sole purpose of the site, the information is front and center, laid out so as to get the highlights at a glance. The brand, accompanied by print material, consists of the color scheme (white on red) and typography. The colors are stark, the text bold, and the layout minimalistic and compact.

Ambassador Camp Fall 2009
Ambassador Camp is a Christian summer camp in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. This site was taken on after the old domain was lost to a hosting company that went under, and moves them from a very basic Frontpage website to something both more visually appealing, informative to the visitor, and powerful for the administrators. The colors are bright and earthy, as one might expect of a summer camp, and the header is made from a photo of the actual sign outside the camp’s campus, lending itself visually to associations with the camp’s physical location.

Campus Crossroads Fall 2008
Campus Crossroads is a campus church at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This site moves them from a flash-based “designer website” to a multi-user WordPress installation for ease of updating new content and much improved accessibility. The colors are earthy yet bright, the design is textured and visually ornate, and the layout is simple and inviting, reflecting the fact that the church is on a college campus and is accordingly contemporary in its style.

Epta Astera Summer 2009
Epta Astera is a gregorian folk metal band based in Chapel Hill, whose entire branding, including cover art and web design, were done by me. This is a redesign for their second album, SALIGIA, which features cathedral architecture on the front, and the logo prominently displayed. Like the last design for Ero Cras, the header blends into the body, and the texture gives it a distinct look. The site is built entirely on a WordPress installation, allowing for ease of maintenance and upgrading.

Dragonblade Computers Spring 2007

Dragonblade Computers is a computer repair company in Salisbury, North Carolina for whom I designed a website and logo. The site is built on WordPress, features a darker color palette, and is centered around the logo as part of their brand.
The logo, seen in the center of the header, was designed in Adobe Flash as part of the company’s branding.
